Project Life Bread: Sustaining Young Dreams

Last September 30, 2025, the Rotary Club of San Jose Del Monte proudly launched Project Life Bread: Sustaining Young Dreams, a long-term initiative that envisions a community where no child suffers from hunger or malnutrition.

This project aims to provide healthy, nutritious, and life-sustaining meals to the city’s most vulnerable children; helping them grow stronger, healthier, and filled with hope for a brighter future.

This remarkable endeavor was made possible through the steadfast support and collaboration of the City Health Office – Nutrition Unit and the Local Government of San Jose Del Monte, our dedicated partners who stood with us in every step, from identifying and selecting the malnourished children, to weighing, and to the actual rollout of the daily feeding program.

Since the official kick-off, we have already conducted re-weighing, deworming, hemoglobin testing, and dental and medical check-ups to ensure a holistic approach to the children’s well-being.

In pursuit of sustainability, the children are provided with nutritious daily meals and are closely monitored through daily weighing to measure both their physical progress and overall nutritional improvement. Beyond feeding, this program embodies Rotary’s enduring commitment to service, compassion, and the belief that every child deserves the chance to dream and thrive.

This legacy project of Pres. Polly Llamera-Ilio begins with 10 young children bravely battling malnutrition — and through continued partnership, generosity, and compassion, we aspire to expand our reach and uplift even more lives. Each meal served represents not only nourishment but also a step toward a healthier, more hopeful generation.

If you wish to be part of this life-changing movement, we invite you to join us in making a difference. Your support can help us sustain this mission of nourishing bodies, inspiring dreams, and transforming lives.
