Coastal Clean-up drive

June is National Ocean Month! Grateful to be part of an inspiring initiative that combines learning and action! Coastal Clean-Up Drive

The Rotaract Club of San Jose del Monte and the Rotary Club of San Jose del Monte came together for a meaningful coastal cleanup in Brgy. Nagbalayong Morong, Bataan last June 17, 2025.

Together, we collected 18 sacks of garbage — all carefully segregated. Recyclable materials like plastics, bottles, & etc. were donated to a partner organization that turns them into eco-bricks— not just to pick up trash, but to protect marine life, preserve natural beauty, and inspire change. Every piece of litter removed is a step toward a cleaner ocean, a safer home for sea creatures, and a greener future for all.

Marine Conservation Seminar

The seminar aimed to cultivate awareness of the critical role marine turtles play in sustaining a balanced ocean ecosystem, while emphasizing the urgent need to safeguard them against threats such as pollution,
habitat degradation, poaching, and the impacts of climate change.
We learned about the life cycle of the pawikan and the dedication of volunteers who protect their eggs and habitats — even at great personal sacrifice. The AVP gave us a glimpse of their hard work and passion.

The Rotary and Rotaract Club of San Jose del Monte provided financial assistance to support much-needed supplies for the conservation center.
Sea the Change, Be the Change! Together, we can protect marine life and build a more sustainable future.
